Lucknow, October 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 'Krishi Kumbh 2018' mega farmers concave in Lucknow on Friday via video conferencing. As per reports, Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government is likely to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan for the investment in Agriculture and allied sectors. Jharkhand and Haryana are the partner states for Krishi Kumbh 2018 which will continue from October 26 to October 28. The aim of the concave is to promote modern and diversification in farming which in turn will help farmers to double their income. PM Narendra Modi Interacts With Farmers Via NaMo App, Speaks About Doubling Income by 2022.

Japan and Isreal are the official partners of Krishi Kumbh that will continue for three days. While Isreal would be represented by Israel's ambassador to India Daniel Carmon, Japan will be represented by a deputy minister at this mega event. Impatient to Take India to New Heights, Says PM Narendra Modi.

More than 1,00,000 farmers, experts, scientists and entrepreneurs are expected to take part in the mega event. The summit seeks farmers to introduce to evolving dynamics of farming so that they can increase their profit in agriculture and post-harvest management of crops.

Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare- Radha Mohan Singh, Senior officials of State and Central government would be present in the inaugural ceremony. Reportedly, the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will preside over the closing ceremony of the event on October 28.
