PM Narendra Modi Speech at UNGA Date and Time in IST: When and Where to Watch the Indian Prime Minister’s Address Live

The Prime Minister is scheduled to speak fourth after Indonesian Vice-President and the Prime Minister of Lesotho. Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is also scheduled to address the UNGA after Modi’s address. Narendra Modi and Imran Khan are likely to face each other at the UNGA today.

New York, September 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the 74th session of the annual UN General Assembly (UNGA) session on September 27 in New York, USA. The Prime Minister is scheduled to speak fourth today after Indonesian Vice-President and the Prime Minister of Lesotho.  Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is also scheduled to address the UNGA  after Modi’s address. Narendra Modi and Imran Khan are likely to face each other at the UNGA today. Several high-level summits will be held on the margins of the 74th session of UN General Assembly.

The session of the UN General Assembly on September 27, 2019 will begin at 9 AM EDT which is 6.30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time) at the UN General Assembly Hall in New York. PM Modi will be the fourth speaker at UNGA on Friday. This means, the PM Modi will address the UNGA between 8-9 PM IST on Friday.

The General Assembly proceedings will begin today at 6.30 PM IST.  The Prime Minister will be fourth in number to address the gathering i.e. after Mauritius President Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, Vice-President of Indonesia, Muhammad Jusuf Kalla and Lesotho’s Prime Minister Thomas Motsoahae Thabane.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address at UNGA will be aired live on several platforms including television channels, YouTube channels and official twitter pages. The live streaming of the address can be viewed online on the official website of the United Nations- webtv.un.org and Doordarshan Live.

Before arriving in New York for the UNGA session, Modi had an astounding 'Howdy Modi' event in Houston where addressed the Indian-American community on September 22. The Indian-American community summit was hosted by the Texas India Forum, the Houston-based non-profit.

In 2015, PM Modi had addressed the high-level UN Sustainable Development Summit. The world leaders had adopted the ambitious 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, an intergovernmental set of aspiration Goals with 169 targets.
