Buenos Aires, November 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Buenos Aires in Argentina to attend the 13th edition of G20 Summit. PM Modi is expected to meet the United States President Donald Trump, Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo for a trilateral meet on the sidelines of the summit. The trilateral meet between India, the US and Japan is an expansion of the bilateral talks between Trump and Abe. Donald Trump Heads for G20 Summit, Keen on Trade Talks With China.

The Prime Minister will also meet Chinese President Xi Jinping duirng the Summit. Earlier, in October, China's Ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui had confirmed the meet. As per reports, the PM will return to India on December 3 to resume election campaigning in Rajasthan and Telangana. 

Meanwhile, the United States president will hold talks with Russian premier Vladimir Putin and Jinping during the summit. This year’s summit is going to be held amid various global issues, including the growing trade war between the US and China, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and the global pressure to hold Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman accountable for the murder of writer Jamal Khashoggi. It is the first G20 summit to be held in the South American country.
