New Delhi, July 3: What could have been a better day for a Bharatiya Janata Party worker than meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi! A saffron party supporter, Khimchand Chandrani, travelled a long way from Gujarat's Amreli to Delhi on a bicycle to congratulate PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their landslide victory in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

Chandrani travelled all the way wearing a tilak on his forehead, with a pretty impressive bicycle. The cycle had slogans in Hindi saying, "Modi hai to mumkin hai" and "Ab ki baar huye 300 paar". Chandrani said that before Lok Sabha Elections, he took an oath that if BJP wins more than 300 seats then he will travel on a bicycle all the way to Delhi. Explaining his tiresome journey, he said, “It took me almost 17 days to cover 1170 km, I used to cover almost 70-80 km on a daily basis. I used to stay in temples and ashrams on my way. I had a conversation with the PM for hardly five minutes, he told me that I am very brave to cover such expedition all the way from Amreli.”

After meeting a die-hard fan, PM Modi tweeted, "Met the exceptional Khimchandbhai from Amreli, Gujarat. Chandrani had decided that if BJP wins 300+ seats, he would cycle from Amreli to Delhi. He kept his word and am told that his cycle journey has drawn several admirers. I was deeply impressed by his humility and passion."
