Lucknow, July 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched projects worth Rs 60,000 crore in Lucknow. While speaking at the event, the PM laid focus on bridging the gap between villages and cities. PM Modi quoting former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, said that there should be no gap between villages and cities, centre and states, labour and income, and administration and citizens. The prime minister is meeting industrialists from Uttar Pradesh second time in the last five months. The PM met the industrialists in February during the Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit. The projects launched today were materialised in the same summit.
PM Modi also highlighted the achievement of Ujala schemes launched by his government. He said, “In past three years, Rs 50,000 cr have been saved in electricity bills because of the LED bulbs were set up in households under Ujala scheme.” The Prime Minister said that the nation was becoming a hub of mobile manufacturing for the world. The PM further added, “Uttar Pradesh is leading this manufacturing revolution. More than 50 mobile manufacturing company are working in UP & the largest mobile manufacturing unit in the world has also been established here.”
PM Modi termed the projects which were launched today as a big step in giving a new direction to Digital India and Make in India. He further added that establishment of IT centre for internet service in Uttar Pradesh and digital infrastructure would give a new direction and new pace to the state. He termed the launch as the record-breaking ceremony. Also taking a dig at previous state governments, the PM said that the manner in which development works had been carried out in such a short span of time and old methods had been changed, was never seen before in Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while speaking at the event also slammed previous state governments. Yogi said, “When BSP was in power, Rs.50,000 crore was invested in five years, while the BJP govt. has invested Rs.60,000 crore in just one year.” He also added that ore proposals Rs.50,000 crore were in pipeline which would be started soon. The chief minister also claimed that the UP had become a business-friendly state as it had successfully attained a position in top 5 states in the country regarding ease of doing business.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launch projects worth 60,000 crore rupees at the ground-breaking ceremony in Lucknow today. The ceremony was held to implement 81 of the 1,045 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) signed at the Uttar Pradesh Investors’ Summit organised earlier this year. The projects launched today will create about 2.1 lakh jobs. The PM launched the projects today to mark the third anniversary of the Amrut Scheme and the Smart City Mission.
