PM Narendra Modi Extends New Year Greetings to Donald Trump, Says 'India-US Relations Have Grown From Strength to Strength'

President Trump also wished the people of India prosperity and progress in the New Year. The US President expressed satisfaction at the achievements in the relationship in the last few years and showed his readiness for further deepening of bilateral cooperation.

New Delhi, January 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Donald Trump, President of the United States to convey New Year greetings to him. PM wished President Trump, his family and the people of the United States good health, prosperity and success in the New Year.

PM Modi highlighted that India-US relations have grown from strength to strength. Modi spoke about the significant progress made in deepening strategic partnership in the previous year and expressed a desire to continue to work with President Trump for enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. PM Modi last shared the stage with President Trump in September 2019 at the Howdy, Modi! event, which was attended by 50,000 Indian-Americans in Texas and it was billed as the largest-ever turnout for a foreign elected leader on US soil.
