New Delhi, September 27: Not only the common man but also the Prime minister of India is also miffed at telecom operators for the frequent call drops. According to a report in The Times of India, PM Modi faces call drops while travelling from the Delhi airport to his official residence in Lok Kalyan Marg. The Prime minister has reportedly directed the telecommunication department to find a solution to the problem and ensure high customer satisfaction. The reports said that PM Modi talked about the issue during his monthly web-based interaction with the government secretaries under the PRAGATI initiative. His remarks come after the telecom secretary Aruna Sundarajan shared the details of customers complains about call drops to PM. Reports further said that PM also asked telecom secretary about how much fine or penalties have been collected from telecom service providers for call drops.
"The PM said that resolution of issues related to the telecom sector should be based on latest technological solutions. He emphasised that service providers must provide a high level of consumer satisfaction," an official statement issued by the PMO said.
Officials also told TOI that the PM has asked telecom departments to find solutions for the network-related issues in borders area to avoid terrorists execute their anti-India agenda.
