Bhubaneswar, January 6: Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday met the family of the Pipili rape victim at their home. Pradhan met the victim's family and said, "Naveen Patnaik's government is anti-Dalit, anti-women, anti-Odisha, the family is asking for CBI inquiry and we are with this demand by the victim's family." Women & Porn Blamed For Rape! Pradhan also assured the victim's family of justice. He said, "PM Modi had raised the issue for the interest of the Dalit family. The victim should get justice & the case should be reinvestigated. Her mother is demanding a CBI inquiry."

Meanwhile, earlier today, Pradeep Maharathy, Panchayati Raj Minister, resigned from the Naveen Patnaik cabinet over his controversial remarks on the acquittal of two accused in Pipili gangrape case. "I tendered my resignation on the moral ground so that my party does not get in trouble," said the six-time MLA.
