Patanjali Ayurved spokesperson SK Tijarawala on the company's Twitter handle said that wrestler Sushil Kumar as well as filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar were present at the launch. Baba Ramdev, while promoting the store, tweeted, "Let’s don the ‘Swadeshi Gaurav’. Get these three Patanjali Paridhan products (1 Jeans & 2 T-Shirts) worth Rs 7000 in only Rs 1100 in this festive season. Join our Swadeshi movement to end the loot of multinational companies."

While speaking to the media on Sunday, Baba Ramdev said, "Patanjali Paridhan has several-range of products and will be launched in Dhanteras to counter foreign countries." He further added, "Like Khadi led to the freedom struggle of the country, the Patanjali Paridhan will be the carrier of a new revolution of economic independence in the country. Because clothing is not just a commodity, it's statement of our self-respect, pride personality and identity which can never be compromised in life."

Patanjali's entry into the textile market was first announced in 2016 by Baba Ramdev. The new store will be part of Rs 12,000 crore huge empire built by Acharya Balkrishna and Baba Ramdev within just 12 years on the basis of swadeshi and ayurvedic products.
