Paraglider Meets Accident in Himachal Pradesh, Mohali Tourist Killed

During the adventure, pilot Ranveer Singh lost control of the paraglider, which came crashing down.

Kullu, May 19: A paraglider met an accident in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district on Saturday, leaving a 24-year-old Mohali tourist dead. A local paragliding instructor, identified as Ranveer Singh, was also injured in the mishap. The deceased was identified as Amandeep Singh Sovti who lived in Phase 2, Mohali.

Sovti was visiting Kullu district with a friend. He went for paragliding in Solang Valley. During the adventure, pilot Ranveer Singh lost control of the paraglider, which came crashing down, reported The Tribune. While Sovti lost his life in the accident, Singh sustained serious injuries. Shalini Agnihotri, Superintendent of Police, said police had registered a case. The tourist’s body would be handed over to his family after an autopsy, he added.
