Panchkula, September 17: In a shocking incident, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death outside his school in Panchkula on Monday around 2.30 pm. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, the deceased has been identified as Vikas, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 7. He was a resident of Railla village.
A group of unknown persons attacked Vikas as he came out of the school gate. They attacked him with sharp-edged objects. The victim was rushed to the civil hospital in Sector 6. Doctors declared him brought dead. Police have started investigating the case. Cops visited the crime spot as well the hospital.
Inspector Aman Kumar, in-charge, crime branch, Sector 26, told Hindustan Times, “As per preliminary investigation, the boy was stabbed on his chest, which reportedly punctured his heart leading to his death. We have seized the victim’s mobile phone for further probe.” The victim’s mother worked as an attendant at a private school, and his father works at a factory in Panchkula. The police filed a case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against unidentified persons.
In a similar type of incident, in September last year, a seven-year-old student was found murdered in the washroom of Ryan International School in Gurugram. The seven-year-old boy, Pradyuman Thakur was found with his throat slit outside school’s washroom just minutes after he reached the school. In the police investigation, questions on the security at the school were raised. He was allegedly murdered by a 16-year-old student.
