Panchavati Express Train Bogies Get Separated Near Kalyan in Maharashtra, Rail Traffic Affected
The Central Railway took to Twitter and said it's not track problem but was the issue of uncoupling of coaches of Panchvati Express.
Kalyan, March 7: Passengers of Panchavati Express had a narrow escape on Thursday when its engine got decoupled from the bogies. According to reports, the engine got decoupled near Kalyan railway station on the Central Railway Line. Reports inform that no casualties have been reported so far. In February, a similar incident was reported from Maharashtra's Aurangabad district, passengers of Amritsar-Nanded Sachkhand Express had a narrow escape when its engine got decoupled from the bogies. The Central Railway took to Twitter and said, "It's not track problem... It's issue of uncoupling of coaches of Panchwati Express... Being rectified shortly... Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted". According to a video posted on Twitter, commuters were seen walking on railway track as rail services had taken a hit following the incident.

On February 3, a major rail incident took place where Seemanchal Express derailed in Bihar. At least seven people were killed and as many as 24 people were injured after 11 couches of the Delhi-bound Seemanchal Express derailed in Vaishali district. Reports inform that the accident reportedly took place in Sahadai Buzurg at 3:58 am.

East Central Railway spokesperson Rajesh Kumar was quoted by PTI saying that one general coach, one AC coach B3, three sleeper coaches -- S8, S9, S10 -- and four more coaches have reportedly derailed, resulting in the death of at least six people on the spot.
