Islamabad, October 17: In a sad incident, a fire broke out at the Gurdwara Panja Sahib in the Pakistani city of Hasan Abdal on Wednesday. Following the reports, even Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) called for a probe into the blaze. Though the fire was soon put off by the administration, it caused minor damages to the gurudwara.
Briefing more about the incident, Assistant Commissioner of Hasan Abdal Adnan Anjum Raja stated, as ANI quoted, "The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when sparks from the ongoing welding work at the Gurudwara caused the blankets kept in the vicinity to catch fire." The report of a fire in the Gurudwara comes ahead of the agreement to be signed between India and Pakistan for Kartarpur corridor. Also, reports have arrived that Pakistan had handed over the final draft agreement to India last week. As per the details, both the neighbouring countries are expected to sign an agreement on the corridor, which will link Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur to Darbar Sahib gurdwara in Kartarpur, ahead of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.
