Nowshera, February 25: After Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan talked about 'giving peace a chance', Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Monday. This is the second consecutive violation by Pakistani army. The unprovoked ceasefire violation took place earlier today, reported news agency ANI. According to the reports, the Indian army was retaliating strongly and effectively to the ceasefire violations. There were no casualties reported in the cross-border firing. On Sunday, a similar ceasefire violation took place at Nowshera sector. Yesterday, in an encounter with terrorist, DSP rank officer Aman Thakur was martyred. In the encounter, one terrorist was gunned down in the Tarigam area of Kulgam district.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister and PTI chief Imran Khan asked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "give peace a chance" and assured him that he will act immediately if New Delhi provides Islamabad with actionable intelligence on the Pulwama Terror Attack in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawans were killed.
