New Delhi, January 11: The Indian government has listed out five stances to establish that Pakistan under Prime Minister Imran Khan has done nothing to create an atmosphere for dialogue. According to a report, the Indian government has maintained that Pakistan has so far failed to rein in terror outfits having a safe haven on its soil. On the contrary, Imran Khan's government in Pakistan is trying to mainstream terrorism, sources in the Indian government said.

The Indian government has listed five instances as evidence to show that Pakistan has taken no concrete actions against terror organisations. First, a meeting was held between Pakistan Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi and representatives of UN proscribed terrorist Hafiz Saeed in December where the minister reportedly assured that nobody would touch Saeed as long as Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is in power. Anti-Pakistan Sentiments Being Aroused in India for Electioneering: Imran Khan.

Second, a PTI leader inaugurated a rescue centre of Saeed's Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in November, 2018. Third is the fact that the presidential ordinance banning JuD and its NGO Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) had lapsed and Khan and his government neither extended the ordinance nor tabled it in Parliament to make it a law. Pakistan PM Imran Khan Calls for Friendly Ties with India, Says Kashmir Basic Problem.

Fourth, in October last year, Hizbul Mujahideen leader and United Jihad Council (UJC) chairman Syed Salahuddin had called for Pakistan military support to terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir. Fifth, in September 2018, Pakistan religious minister Noor-ul-Haq Qadri shared a stage with Saeed where the duo made anti-India remarks.

In an interview with a Turkish channel recently, Khan said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government rejected Pakistan's offer for dialogue "to win anti-Pakistan votes" in upcoming elections. According to the Indian government though, steps taken by Pakistan against terrorists were only cosmetic in nature, reported TOI.
