Pakistan Military Continues to Encourage Terrorists to Infiltrate Into India, Says Defence Ministry's Annual Report

The Defence Ministry further said that India wants Pakistan to take credible and irreversible steps to stop supporting terror outfits operating on its soil.

New Delhi, July 18: The military of Pakistan continues to encourage terrorists to infiltrate into India under the cover of massive cross-Line of Control (LOC) and cross-border firing in Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of Defence said in its annual report for 2018-19. The Defence Ministry further said that India wants Pakistan to take credible and irreversible steps to stop supporting terror outfits operating on its soil.

"Terrorist groups being continuously encouraged (by Pakistan Military) to infiltrate into India under cover of massive cross border firing in Jammu and Kashmir, triggering appropriate response from Indian armed forces." the MoD observed in its annual report. The ministry said the February 14 attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist in Pulwama validates India's position that "India remains a persistent target of Pakistan’s state-sponsored cross border terrorism policy". India, Pakistan Exchange List of Nuclear Installations Simultaneously in New Delhi, Islamabad.

"Until Pakistan takes credible and irreversible steps to stop supporting terror groups and dismantle the terrorist infrastructure used to launch attacks against India, India will continue to take robust and decisive steps to ensure national security," the annual report of MoD said. The MoD report also noted that Pakistan is “relentlessly” expanding its armed forces, especially and missile capabilities, despite the country facing a severe financial crisis. On China, the annual report mentioned that following the informal summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping in Wuhan in China in April last year, relations with the eastern neighbour moved towards greater stability.
