Mumbai, February 5: A Jet Airways flight had an unexpected guest in its cockpit while it was parked overnight at the Mumbai Airport. The engineers were surprised to find a barn owl sitting inside the cockpit of a Jet Airways Boeing 777 on Monday morning.

The officials added that when they approached the owl for it to be removed, the bird was not fussy. They said that the bird was set free after some of the officials at the airport clicked selfies with it.
Earlier this month, a mynah bird was found aboard a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight while on its way to London recently. Around 12 hours into the 14-hour flight, the unexpected passenger was found in the business class section of the aircraft. A video on Facebook showed the bird perched atop a seat, with a steward trying to capture it.
Meanwhile, coming back to the Mumbai Airport incident, an official at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport said that the owl may have entered through an open side door of the aircraft at night while trying to find some food and later could have been trapped inside the cockpit. Mumbai Airport has a slum pocket on the eastern side in the Kurla-Ghatkopar belt which attracts hordes of birds, posing security hazard to aircraft in Mumbai.
