Online Food Delivery Business Down 30% Due to Internet Shutdowns Amid CAA Protests; Deliveries Also Affected Due to Road Blockages

New Delhi, December 23: The entire nation witnessed violent protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. As a result of which, the internet was shut at many places and even roads were blocked to avoid the escalation of further tension. E-commerce companies faced the brunt of it, while the online food delivery business suffered a blow of 25-30 percent decline, the other online categories also witnessed a drop of 3-5 percent, according to an Economic Times report.
