On Diwali, Yogi Adityanath Confirms Installation of 'Ram Statue' in Ayodhya

After announcing Faizabad district will be renamed as Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday has formally announced that a public statue of Lord Ram will be built in Ayodhya.

Prayagraj, November 7: After announcing that Faizabad district will be renamed as Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday has formally announced that a public statue of Lord Ram will be built in Ayodhya. He said that they were trying to search an appropriate place to build the massive statue. The CM also announced a number of development projects for the city during his visit to Ayodhya on Diwali eve. Yogi Adityanath Claims Mughal Emperor Akbar Was Not Great, But Only Maharana Pratap Was!

"Sri Ram ki ek darshaniya murti sthapit ho,bhumi ke anusar uske bare mein charcha karenge. Pujaniya murti mandir mein hogi, lekin ek darshaniya murti jo yahan ki pehchan ban sake. Hum wo sari vyavasthaein karenge jisse astha ka samman bhi ho aur Ayodhya ki pehchan ban sake," said Yogi Adityanath, which translates to, "We intend to build a statue of Shri Ram for the devotees in an appropriate place and have been scouting for the land. We are in discussions with architects. A statue for worshipping will be in the temple, but we also want to build a statue for the devotees to have a darshan."

Speaking on the Ram Mandir topic he said Ram Mandir he said, "Mandir hai, mandir rahega, devotees and people have no doubt about this. We are having a faith in Supreme Court and will follow the law." He also made announcements that the hospital will be built in the name of Lord Dashrath and an airport in name of Lord Ram.

This comes after the centre started facing a pressure from some members of the parliament, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to start construction of Ram Temple at the disputed land in Ayodhya.
