Srinagar, October 12: The former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah has hit back at cricketer Gautam Gambhir for his tweet over the slain terrorist Mannan Wani. Abdullah replying to Gambhir’s tweet said, “This man wouldn’t be able to find Manan’s home district on a map much less his village & yet he presumes to know what drives young men in Kashmir to pick up the gun. Mr Gambhir clearly knows less about Kashmir than I do about cricket & I know almost nothing.”
Earlier, Gambhir through his tweet took a dig at the leading political parties of the state after Wani was killed in an encounter by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Handwara area. Gambhir tweeted, “We killed a terrorist and lost a radicalised talent. @OmarAbdullah @MehboobaMufti @INCIndia @BJP4India all should bow their heads in embarrassment that they left a young man drift from books to embrace bullet.” HRD Ministry Pulls Up AMU Over Alleged 'Namaz-e-Janaza' For Slain Kashmiri Terrorist Mannan Wani
