Ola and Uber Strike in Mumbai Called Off: Cab Drivers Suspend Protest After Positive Meeting With Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

Cab drivers associated with aggregators Ola and Uber called off their ongoing strike in Mumbai bringing relief to common people especially officer commuters and marketing personnel.

Mumbai, November 19: Cab drivers associated with aggregators Ola and Uber called off their ongoing strike in Mumbai bringing relief to common people especially office commuters and marketing personnel. The strike was called off after the Ola and uber driver' union leader Sachin Ahir met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis with the list of demands by cab drivers.

According to the Times of India sources, the meeting went well and Fadnavis assured that he will help them and will meet union leaders post winter session. Earlier today, the drivers have planned to take a morcha from Bharat Mata to Azad Maidan but the city police had stopped them and detained them during the protest march in Mumbai. Uber and Ola are the application-based cab services which provide rides at reasonable rates. However, the drivers of cab aggregators claimed that they are not being able to make a good profit due to low base price and less commission.
