Odisha: 3 Murders in 48 Hours in Cuttack, Police Suspect Role of Psychopath Killer

In a span of 48 hours, shocking case of three murders cases have taken place in Cuttack. Police have not been able to nab the culprit or identify the motives behind the murders. All the dead bodies have been found with a deep cut on their neck, police suspect the role of a psychopath killer.

July 26, Bhubaneshwar: In a span of 48 hours, shocking case of three murder cases have taken place in Cuttack.  Police have not been able to nab the culprit or identify the motives behind the murders. According to an ANI tweet, police suspect the role of a psychopath killer, who is on a hunt without any motive. Considering the killer is still roaming around freely, Police have taken precautions. Satyajit Mohanty, Police Commissioner of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack said, "In last 48 hrs, three murder cases have taken place in Cuttack. After seeing the pattern of the murders, we are guessing that the crimes have been committed by the same person. The victims are all homeless people."

He further said, "Most likely there is no motive behind these murders. All these circumstances point towards a psychopath killer. It's dangerous as the person is yet to be arrested. Keeping this in mind, we have taken precautions in Cuttack."

The first body was recovered from Ranihat Bridge on Tuesday. Two other bodies, one from near SCB Medical College and another from OMP Market, were recovered on Wednesday. All the victims have deep cuts in their necks.

Lack of information on the killer has sparked fears and police have strengthened the night patrolling and asked the homeless people to sleep in shelters.
