Bhubaneswar, January 28: In a tragic incident, at least two people have been killed and 30 others have been injured after a bus overturned in Odisha on Monday. According to a tweet by ANI, the accident took place near Kesinga in Kalahandi district of the state on Monday morning. Soon after the accident, the injured ones were rushed to different hospitals in that area.
Earlier in the day, a similar road accident was reported from Andhra Pradesh where 15 students suffered minor injuries after a school bus turned turtle in Guntur district. According to a tweet by ANI, two students have been critically injured in the accident and have been rushed to the nearby hospital. On January 22, as many as eight people were killed and more than 35 injured after a mini-truck in which they were travelling skidded off the Poiguda ghat in Odisha and rolled down near Baliguda in Kandhamal district. According to reports, the tragic incident took place after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The mini-truck was carrying about 50 to 60 people who were travelling to take part in a church programme. According to reports, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced ex-gratia of 2 lakh rupees for the family members of the deceased.
