New Delhi, January 17: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday issued an advisory for Indians visiting China, particularly Wuhan City, in the view of Novel coronavirus outbreak in the country. As per the government data, 41 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus have been reported so far while a person has also died due to outbreak. Japan Confirms 1st Case of New Coronavirus Infection in Kanagawa Prefecture.
The government statement said that the mode of transmission of the virus is unclear. However, there is little evidence of significant human-to-human transmission. According to the World Health Organisation's risk assessment, the risk for the global outbreak of novel coronavirus is low but travellers should follow simple health measures.

"If you feel sick on a flight while travelling back to India, inform the airlines' crew and seek mask. You should also avoid close contact with family members or fellow travellers. Follow the directions of the airline crew while disembarking. If you feel sick in a span of one month after return from China, report the illness to the nearest health facility and also inform the treating doctor regarding your travel history," it added.
Meanwhile, the central government is reviewing central health preparedness after news of the novel coronavirus outbreak in China. The symptoms are mainly fever with a few patients having difficulty while breathing.
