Northern Railway Launches Dedicated Counters at New Delhi, Delhi Junction and Hazrat Nizamuddin Stations for Receiving Corruption-Related Complaints

New Delhi, November 4: Northern Railway passengers can now register corruption-related complaints at dedicated counters in New Delhi, Delhi Junction and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations. The customers can also give their feedback on experience during the journey at these dedicated counters, it is an initiative launched by Northern Railways as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week. World's Highest Railway Track: Indian Railways Pitches for Strategic Line in Leh to Be Declared National Project.

"The feedback survey is to obtain information on the real-time requirements of the passengers, besides addressing their grievances," a Northern Railway statement said. During Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW), the Central Vigilance Commission tries to promote the corruption free society. This year VAW is from 29 October 2018 to 03 November 2018. This year's theme is ‘Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India’.

Citing the festive season, Northern Railway has introduced 78 special trains to handle the rush during Diwali and Chaath Puja, reported Press Trust of India. However, no platform tickets will be available from November 2 to November 13. These trains will run till November 15 and a total of 519 trips are scheduled during this period.
