Noida, August 12: In a shocking incident, a Noida truck driver who had entered Delhi without paying toll tax at MCD toll was allegedly beaten to death by seven bouncers hired by booth operator. The incident took place on Friday night. The crime came to light on the next morning when the victim's body was found in the Noida-Delhi carriageway. According to reports, Vimal Tiwari was carrying some electric equipment to Delhi. Around 11:30 pm on Friday, he failed to spot the small toll booth on the new Yamuna bridge in Kalindi Kunj and crossed into the national capital without paying Rs 1,400 tax. A few metres away, Tiwari was stopped by a flying squad. Following the argument, seven bouncers asked him to pay 10 times fine. When the truck driver couldn't pay Rs 14,600 tax, he was thrashed to death.
Reacting to the incident, Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Vaibhav Krishna said, "Bouncers at MCD toll in Delhi asked the truck driver to pay Rs 14,600 toll tax and thrashed him after he couldn't pay, and threw his body in Noida." He added that all seven accused has been arrested.
