The Noida Police on Sunday night conducted raids in 14 spas of Sector 18 of city and arrested 35 people, including 25 women and 10 men for allegedly running a prostitution racket.
Noida, July 1: The Noida Police on Sunday night conducted raids in 14 spas of Sector 18 of city and arrested 35 people, including 25 women and 10 men for allegedly running a prostitution racket. Following the arrest, the cases have been registered against them under various sections of IPC, including the Immoral Trafficking Act.
Informing more about the arrest, Gautam Buddh Nagar (Rural) SP Vineet Jaiswal said, as quoted by ANI, "14 teams conducted raids at 14 spas. All of them have been sealed. 3 of those 14 spas were being used to run a prostitution racket, case has been registered against them." According to the police, they received the input from their source and following this they constituted a team of seven circle officers and eight inspectors. During the raid, police claimed to have found “objectionable items”, apart from proof of illegal sex trade in process. Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Vaibhav Krishna informed that they constituted 15 teams who searched teh SPAs under operation clean.
