Noida, January 5: A manager of a Business process outsourcing (BPO) company in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida has been taken to critical care after being shot by his former employee. The accused Anoop Singh who used to be an employee of the Noida BPO shot his manager in the chest on Wednesday allegedly after being fired from the job.
NDTV reported that the accused is a resident of Delhi's Ashok Nagar and used to work as a data entry operator at NSB, a BPO in Noida Sector 2. However, he was sacked by the Noida BPO company's Circle Head Sadrul Islam owing to his poor conduct at the workplace. Police said that Singh had approached Islam one month ago seeking his job back but his request was turned down.
An argument broke out between them on Wednesday evening after Singh entered Islam’s office. Later, Singh pulled out a country-made weapon and fired at Islam.
