New Delhi, July 21: At least one person was killed and three others were critically injured after an under construction building collapsed in Noida Sector 63. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place on Saturday morning. The investigation into the matter has been initiated. The incident comes three days after two buildings crashed in Shahberi village.

On Tuesday, a six-floor under-construction building had crashed on a five-storey building next to it in Shahberi village under Bisrakh police station area in Greater Noida. Rescue operations have continued since then to detect signs of life under the debris.  A total of nine bodies have been recovered from the rubble so far. According to a PTI report,  altogether, 24 people have been named in the FIR. Charges include culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

A similar incident of building collapse was reported from Maharashtra's Pune district. At least five people have been injured after a building collapsed in Pune's Mundhwa on Saturday morning. So far, eight people have been rescued so far while one child is still feared trapped inside the building.

According to a tweet by ANI, the building was 30 years old and it was served a notice by a municipal corporation. The rescue operation is underway.
