Nitish Kumar Responds to Giriraj Singh's Dig Over 'Iftar Party', Says 'He Does it to Make News'

"Giriraj Singh makes such remarks deliberately so that you (media) make news out of it," Nitish Kumar said in response to Singh's tweet on Iftar. JDU, Bharatiya Janata Party Leaders Skip Each Other's 'Iftar' Parties in Patna.

According to ANI, newly appointed Home Minister Amit Shah had called and asked Giriraj Singh to avoid making statements. Singh is being widely known for his controversial statements. He is the Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries in PM Narendra Modi's new cabinet.
In the tweet posted this morning, Begusarai MP took swipe at BJP allies for celebrating Iftar party. "How beautiful would this picture have been if a Navratri meal would have been organised with the same eagerness. Why do we hold back on our own faith and get into pretence," he wrote in Hindi.
The photos posted by him included Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi and allies Nitish Kumar, Ram Vilas Paswan and his son Chirag Paswan. He also posted a picture of Iftar party host Jitan Ram Manjhi of the Hindustan Awam Morcha (Secular), which was a part of the opposition alliance.
