Bengaluru, May 5: Hundreds of students from North Karnataka districts have missed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam being held at Bengaluru on Sunday due to 7-hour delay of the Hampi Express, tweeted Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy through his official handle. The CM added that the last-minute changes in the examination centres and lack of proper communication has created confusion among the students. "Hundreds of students from North Karnataka districts have missed the #NEET Exam being held today at Bengaluru due to a 7-hour delay of the Hampi Express. The affected students have taken their complaints to social media and demanded re-examination. Based on which, Kumaraswamy also requested to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and HRD minister Prakash Javadekar to intervene in the matter and ensure that students who have missed the opportunity on Sunday, May 5, get another chance to write the NEET 2019 Examination.
The National Testing Agency or NTA's NEET, earlier known as AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) is the examination for candidates who want to do medical courses in either government (except AIIMSs and JIPMER) or private colleges.
