Navy Sailor Commits Suicide at INS Shivaji in Lonavala

A 19-year-old Navy sailor allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday at Indian Naval Station (INS) Shivaji, the Navy's base near Lonavala in Maharashtra's Pune district.

Lonavala, June 4: A 19-year-old Navy sailor allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday at Indian Naval Station (INS) Shivaji, the Navy's base near Lonavala in Maharashtra's Pune district. Kannala had used bedsheet for committing suicide. So far no suicide note was found and the Navy has ordered an inquiry, said police. The 19-year-old, who was undergoing Direct Entry Engineering Mechanics (DEEM) course, hailed from Paradi village in Telangana's Nirmal district.
