The Punjab Minister drew a lot of flak for his comments after the Pulwama attack in which over 40 Central Reserve Police Force soldiers were martyred. Sidhu stated, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (Pulwama terror attack) is a cowardly act, and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable, and those who did it must be punished.” His remarks drew angry reactions on social media platforms as many found his comments insensitive. People called for a boycott of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' where Sidhu appears as a special guest.

Meanwhile, Archana Puran Singh replaced Sidhu from the show. She began shooting for The Kapil Sharma Show. On Wednesday, Archana took to Instagram to share a picture with the 'laughter king' Kapil Sharma from the sets of the show.
