Mumbai, September 14: Water supply will be temporarily disrupted in the Dronagiri, JNPT, Ulwe, Kharghar, and Taloja areas starting at 9 am on Friday, September 15, and lasting until 9 am on Saturday, September 16. The Navi Mumbai Water Cut is necessary to facilitate maintenance work on the water treatment plant and other associated tasks.
Maintenance and repair work is scheduled to be conducted by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) on the Hetwane Water Treatment Centre, Dam Conduit, and Water Channel. As a result, water supply will be temporarily unavailable for all villages along CIDCO's Hetwane line, as well as the Dronagiri, JNPT, Ulwe, Kharghar, and Taloja nodes. Water supply will be resumed on September 16, albeit at reduced pressure, and this condition will persist for the subsequent 24 hours. CIDCO has urged residents of the impacted regions to conserve and utilise water wisely during this period.

However, on Monday, the ONGC, in its official statement, stated that there has been no damage to either farmers or fishermen due to the minor oil spill near Uran Beach recently. The Oil Spill Response (OSR) team from ONGC was deployed to avoid the ingress of oil into the sea, and cleaning of the shoreline commenced on war footing.
