Navi Mumbai, February 3: Residents of Navi Mumbai will experience major water cut on Monday between 10 am to 5 pm. According to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), the water supply will be affected due to an electrical repairs work which will take place on February 4 at the Bhokarpada water treatment plant. Various areas of Navi Mumbai including Vashi, Sanpada, Koparkhairne, Turbhe, Ghanoli, Nerul Belapur and Airoli will experience the water shortage. Internet Services on Mobile and Wi-Fi Suspended by Government in Vashi and Other Areas in Navi Mumbai.

The NMMC asked the residents to use the water judiciously. The water is supplied to the city from Morbe dam via the Bhokarpada filtration plant. The resident will also face some water problem on Tuesday as there is a possibility of low-pressure water supply in the city. The NMMC is doing efforts to connect a direct water supply line to CIDCO's Kamothe node. Last year in September, residents of Navi Mumbai's Kharghar faced water crisis for almost several days. During the Diwali season also people of New Panvel and Kalamboli faced a water crisis.
