Navi Mumbai Shocker: Boy Accidentally Steps on Live Wire Left Open, Sustains Burn Injuries; Watch Video

The incident comes days after the Seawoods police in Navi Mumbai booked a case against the Raje Shiv Chhatrapati Ganpati Mandal, after five people suffered electric shock at a Ganesh visarjan being carried out by them. The group was charged with the IPC section related to 'causing hurt by negligence'.

Mumbai, September 23: A teenager in Navi Mumbai, who appears to be a student, sustained major burn injuries after he accidently stepped on a live wire. A CCTV footage has come to the fore which shows the boy unknowingly stepping on the live wire left open on a pathway. As soon as he stepped on it, an explosion-like sound was hurt and a minor fire erupted.

The victim was struck by the blaze, with flames seen to have engulfed his feet. Another angle of the CCTV clip shows the boy, who was carrying a backpack, immediately throwing away his bag and running towards a water drum. He then frantically pours water on his feet and legs which were caught in the blaze.
