Mumbai, July 27: In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old woman was brutally stabbed to death, allegedly by her boyfriend, and her body was dumped in the bushes near Uran railway station in Navi Mumbai adjacent to Mumbai. The police received a call around 2 am on Saturday, July 27, reporting the discovery of the body.
The woman's body bore multiple injury marks and stab wounds, indicating a brutal murder, NDTV reported, quoting Deputy Commissioner of Police (Navi Mumbai) Vivek Pansare as saying. The deceased has been identified as Yashashree Shinde, a resident of Uran who worked in Belapur, approximately 25 km away. She had been reported missing before the discovery. “Our initial investigation suggests the woman was murdered after a love affair went wrong. The girl’s boyfriend, who had also gone missing with her, is the primary suspect. A case of murder has been registered, and five police teams have been formed to trace him,” an official told the media outlet.
Last month, a man brutally murdered his girlfriend on the street by striking her 15 times on the head with an iron wrench in Vasai near Mumbai. Eyewitness footage revealed a large crowd watching the attack, but no one intervened to help the girl, Aarti Yadav, 20. The man in the video was heard saying, “Kyun kiya aisa mere saath (why did you do this to me),” as he continued to hit her head with the spanner. According to the police, the crime stemmed from a love affair gone wrong. Rohit Yadav and Aarti were in a relationship until she broke up with him a few days prior. Suspecting that Aarti had started seeing someone else, Rohit allegedly killed her in a fit of rage. The Waliv police have registered a murder case, apprehended the accused, and launched a probe.
