Ahmedabad, March 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Ahmedabad Metro rail's six-km-long first phase, 14 years after the project was launched when he was the Gujarat Chief Minister.

Accompanied by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, Modi travelled from Vastral to Nirant Road metro station in the eastern industrial suburb of Ahmedabad after flagging off the train.
