Sukma, July 12: Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) leader Nalluri Srinivas Rao who was kidnapped by Naxals three days ago was found murdered on Friday in Sukma District of Chhattisgarh. His body was recovered in Puttapadu village of the district. The 45-year-old TRS leader was abducted on Monday from Kothur village in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district of Telangana by 10-15 people. The TRS leader was a member of Mandal (block) Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC). “His body was found in Errampadu, a small hamlet in Chhattisgarh. There was an injury on his head. We have to ascertain how he died. Only after an inquest can we exactly say how he died and whether it is a bullet injury or head injury," reported India Today quoting Rajesh Chandra, Additional Superintendent of Police Bhadrachalam as saying. Rao reportedly had land issues with tribals. Meanwhile, according to some reports, Rao was allegedly murdered by Naxals as he was converting tribals into police informers which led to the arrest of many Naxalites. The police are still probing the exact cause of the death. The Telangana police are yet to bring back his body from Chhattisgarh.
