Maharashtra, January 2: New Year party-goers were stuck in the middle of rains which acted as a spoilsport to their fun. Even though the Met department had predicted rains, most people ignored it. According to a Times of India report, the city received a total of 8.3 millimetres of rainfall on Tuesday.
Following the rains, the minimum temperature almost shot up by double, from 6.5 degrees Celsius it increased to 13.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. There were severe waterlogging in several places of Nagpur due to the heavy rainfall. The city is experiencing unusual rains in this season as the wind flow is not completely northerly. In most places, motorists had to wage through the water making it extremely difficult for people to drive and reach their respective places of work on Thursday.
