Nagpur. September 29: A 40-year-old employee of HCL Technologies suffered a cardiac arrest and died in the washroom of the office in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The incident occurred on Friday, September 29, and the deceased has been identified as Nitin Edwin Michael.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, The man was discovered unresponsive around 7 PM on Friday after he entered the washroom at the company’s office located in the MIHAN area of Nagpur. Concerned colleagues quickly took action, rushing him to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur. The Sonegaon Police have sent the body for a postmortem and registered a case of accidental death. Initial autopsy results suggest that the man died from cardiac arrest, according to a police official. The police are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding his death. Michael is mourned by his wife and their six-year-old son, as confirmed by police. In a similar incident, Sadaf Fatima, an employee at HDFC Bank's Vibuti Khand branch in Lucknow, allegedly died due to work pressure. Colleagues reported that she fell off her chair in the office and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. Her body has been sent for a postmortem. In response, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav noted that work pressure and stress are prevalent in both government and private jobs, forcing people to work out of "compulsion."
