Karnataka, September 27: Ahead of Mysuru Dasara celebrations, Section 144 has been imposed in Pura area near Chamundi Hills in Mysuru, according to an ANI update. Section 144 prohibits the gathering of more than four people. Mysuru Dasara is celebrated on a huge scale in Mysuru and is celebrated on the tenth day of Navratri. On this day it is believed that Goddess Durga killed the demon Asura to protect us from all the evils. Reportedly, the city of Mysuru has a long tradition of celebrating the Dasara festival in a grand manner. The Dasara festival in Mysuru will reportedly complete its 419th anniversary this year. It is a very popular festival with the locals and the foreign tourist.

Owing to the huge demand for special services in the wake of the Mysore Dasara festival, special trains and buses have been announced by the South Western Railway (SWR) and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to help people travel during the festive season.
