Muzzafarpur, October 10: In a harrowing incident, Two men, reportedly Father and son, thrashed, spat and urinated on a daily man for demanding wages in Bihar's Muzzafarpur on October 4. The man used to work at their poultry farm. According to the victim's complaint, he demanded wages for two days of work.
According to a report by India Today, Rinku Manjhi went to the poultry farm owned by Ramesh Patel to ask for payment for the two days of work he had done. According to the complaint filed by Rinku, his wage request angered Ramesh Patel, who, along with his brother Arun Patel and son Gaurav Kumar, assaulted him. The complaint also states that during the assault, Ramesh Patel and Gaurav Kumar urinated on Rinku and spat on his face. When Manjhi filed his complaint on October 8, Manjhi provided the police with a video recording of the incident as evidence. Based on the complaint and the video, authorities registered a case against the accused under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the SC/ST Act. An investigation into the incident has been initiated to bring the perpetrators to justice. Ramesh Patel, a resident of Karpur North, subjected a daily wage worker to casteist slurs when he requested his wages. Manjhi had previously worked for Ramesh Patel, and the incident occurred when he requested his wages. Following the complaint, a case was registered, and appropriate action is being taken against the accused. The official stated that the accused have been identified based on the video provided by the victim, and they will be arrested as part of the investigation.
