Musician Umesh Gopinath Jadhav Visits Families of Pulwama Attack Martyrs To Collect Soil From Their Homes For Special Tribute
In a unique way of paying tributes to martyrs, the 38-year-old artist Umesh Gopinath Jadhav is collecting soil from residences of security personnel who lost their lives in Pulwama attack.
Bengaluru, July 23: In a unique way of paying tributes to martyrs, the 38-year-old artist Umesh Gopinath Jadhav is collecting soil from residences of security personnel who lost their lives in Pulwama attack. According to Jadhav, it is a crowd-funded campaign. The memorial will be built in Pulwama on the first anniversary of the deadly terror attack which claimed the lives of 40 lives. As per reports, Jadhav began his journey in June from Yelahanka in Bengaluru before heading to Mandya in interior Karnataka.

Till now, he covered various districts including Wayanad in Kerala, Kanyakumari and Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu, and Goa. His journey is expected to last till September. Jadhav left his job and started a band. He got trained in Carnatic and Hindustani music and then formed the band Muzicause. On February 14, 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers were martyred after a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist crashed his SUV packed with explosives into a vehicle part of CRPF convoy on Srinagar-Jammu highway. To avenge the death of the CRPF soldiers India conducted Airstrikes on JeM headquarters in Pakistan’s Balakot.
