Mumbai, September 5: The Mumbai Police have booked a total of 15 people for allegedly killing a man to death recently in the city. Police officials said that the deceased man, a 41-year-old garage owner, was beaten to death following a parking dispute in Sion's Pratiksha Nagar. The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday, September 3, at around 4:30 PM at Almeida Compound. The victim has been identified as Javed Kallan Choudhary.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the incident occurred when Choudhary got into a heated argument with the 15 accused, which quickly escalated into a physical fight. Cops said that a total of 15 people came down from the building and allegedly started beating Choudhary. Accused Assault and Punch Victim Until He Passes Out

Officials also said that the accused even punched the garage owner until he passed out. Although Choudhary was rushed to hospital immediately, he passed away during treatment. An officer who is investigating the case said that the deceased man had enmity with the accused over parking issues. During the investigation, cops found that the fight erupted over Choudhary parking several vehicles in the society.

They also learned that he used to refuse to remove vehicles to make space for others. After the incident came to light, the police booked all the accused under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, on the complaint of the deceased's father, Kallan Chowdhury. The police officials are also looking for the wire, bat and stumps used for assaulting Choudhary. Among the 15 accused are Yamaji Shreemadalkar (society secretary), Vilas Shelar and Ajit Singh. So far, cops have arrested Shelar, Singh, Sagar Mohanti and Ganesh Mhatre, while a search is on for the other accused.
