Mumbai, July 6: In another case of fraud reported from Mumbai, a fashion designer from Santacruz was duped for over Rs 87,000 by a woman. Reports informed that the fraudster duped the fashion designer for Rs 87,500 when the victim was trying to search for a flat for herself. According to a report by TOI, the victim of the fraud was searching for a flat on rent in Bandra and Khar localities. Online Fraud in Mumbai: 71-Year-Old Man Duped of Nearly Rs 41 Lakh While He Was Admitted to Hospital.

The report informs that the accused allegedly threatened to frame the victim in a false case if she tried to call her to get her money back. According to the report, the woman, who claimed to be a RAW agent, revealed her identity as Krutika Bhatra.

After the fashion designer realised she was duped, she registered a complaint at the Khar police station in connection with the crime. The cops have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the woman who duped the fashion designer under the guise of a RAW agent. According to the report, Police also revealed that the accused had even duped a resident of Dahisar in Mumbai of Rs10 lakh after promising him a job.
