Mumbai Woman Commits Suicide on Live Video, Hangs Herself at Jaipur Hotel

In yet another shocking incident, a woman hanged herself at a hotel in Jaipur, while she was on a video call with a man. Although, the cause of such an extreme step is still unknown, it has been reported that the 28-year-old hails from Mumbai and is staying at the hotel for the last four days, before she committed suicide. The deceased is identified as Mirza Khatoon, and further investigations are on. After receiving the information, the Jalpura Police reached the spot and rushed Mirza to the nearest hospital, where she was declared dead. The police officials informed that Mirza was earlier in a live-in relationship with a man named Randhir Vishwakarma, reports India Today. Both were together for two years, and Mirza also has a three-year-old son with him, who is studying in a boarding school in Delhi. After parting ways with Randhir, Mirza was in a relationship with another man who stays abroad. The media report further adds that at the time of suicide, Khatoon was on a video call with him. This is not the first instance of suicide which was committed while going live. There were many cases which were reported in the past that reveals such extreme steps, with people going live and recording their suicide videos. Here are a few instances much like Mirza’s suicide.

In July 2018, a class 12 student committed suicide while on a video call with his girlfriend. Friends of the duo claimed that they often quarrelled with each other which led to them breaking apart a few months ago. The mother of the deceased 17-year-old had registered a case against the girlfriend, accusing her of abetting the suicide.
Chennai Man Attempts Suicide on Facebook Live Video Over Failed Relationship
A 25-year-old man from Chennai in a live Facebook video attempted suicide by consuming poison over a failed love affair with a girl from Nagercoil. The incident happened in February 2019. His friends ran to the rescue and took him to a nearby hospital where he was kept under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

In March this year, another such incident shook the nation. The 21-year-old college student allegedly committed suicide while on a video call with his girlfriend. It was reported that the boy was depressed about the fact that his father was marrying for the second time and had left home.
Coming back to Mirza’s case, no additional information related to her suicide could be accessed. The probe is underway, and the cause of her death is expected to be released soon. Besides, it is also not clear, if Mirza’s family members were informed about the incident or if she had any.
