Mumbai, March 7: Strong winds accompanied with light showers and thundering continued to lash Mumbai for the second day as the citizens received some much needed respite from heat and the scorching sun. The change in Mumbai's weather was welcomed by the citizens who took to Twitter to share pictures and videos of #MumbaiRains.

Mumbai To Receive Light Rainfall for Next Two Days

Ahead of Holi celebrations in the city, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday predicted light drizzle with occasional strong winds for the maximum city. With the temperatures soaring in the city and and the AQI dropping continuously, the rains have been a blessing in disguise for Mumbaikars. K S Hosalikar, IMD Pune head also took to Twitter to share update about Mumbai's weather. In his post, Hosalikar said that there is moderate intensity of clouds over Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar. Meanwhile, private weather forecast agency SkymetWeather has predicted rains for the city today while there are no signs of rainfall on March 8 and 9 in the city. Mahesh Palawat of SkymetWeather has also predicted light rains over Mumbai and its neighbouring areas for today. "Intensity will be feeble," he said on Twitter.
