The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has begun a 10% water from today, June 5, in Mumbai and neighbouring areas. The cut has been announced due to a reduction in the water stock in dams and lakes, to extend the remaining stock for as long as possible. As per the BMC, the water cut will remain in force till satisfactory rainfall is received and the useful stock in the water bodies improves.
