Mumbai, September 17: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a scheduled maintenance operation that will temporarily disrupt the water supply in parts of Mumbai on September 19-20. The water supply will be suspended from 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, until 2:00 PM on Friday, September 20, in Mumbai's Vile Parle, Andheri, and Santacruz.
This interruption is necessary for the replacement of four valves on the 750 mm diameter Parle Vesaway (Versova) outlet at Veravali Reservoir-2, which supplies water to the affected regions. The BMC has released a detailed list of specific areas within K East and K West that will experience the disruption. Residents in these areas are advised to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the maintenance period, as the supply will be completely suspended for over 18 hours.
